Why me?

Just a few years ago, I was a teacher, but in 2020, amidst the ​chaos of the pandemic, I made a life-changing decision to ​chase my dreams—no matter what. At 34, already a mom and ​wife and 11 years into my teaching career - I must have seemed ​nuts BUT I took a leap of faith and switched it up. The journey ​hasn’t been easy but it’s been beyond rewarding.

From freelancing to landing my first agency PR role as a Senior ​Account Manager at Irvine Partners, I’ve grown in ways I never ​imagined. Every challenge has been an opportunity and today ​I’m thriving at a company that values my hard work and ​ambition. I’ve achieved things I only once dreamed of and I’m ​just getting started.

Travelling to London for work? Whose life is this guys?

Cross cultural collaboration beyond my computer screen, YES ​PLEASE. In-person knowledge exchange beyond the ​Johannesburg office, YES PLEASE. Working in the same office ​as our CEO? YES PLEASE.

Despite the difficulties I've faced in the past year, there have ​been moments of sparkle that make me excited for the rest of ​my career.

This is my dream realised—and I’m excited for what’s next.
